Crow's Nest Song Circle
On the last Thursday of each month, people gather at the Crow’s Nest Officers Club to share or listen to songs and recitations, both traditional and contemporary, from Newfoundland and the world. The event is hosted each month by Bay Roberts native Eleanor Dawson and Linda Byrne, originally from Kingwell, Placentia Bay. Both have been strongly involved in preserving the Folk arts of Newfoundland and Labrador for many years. For this year’s folk Festival they are joined by Mount Pearl native Dave Penny and Frank Holden from St. John’s.
