How to get a ride in the engine

There had been some letters to the editor in the Newark Evening News during my Christmas vacation in New Jersey in 1962, so, when I got back to Ottawa, I sent a letter to the editor myself and this is what it looked like:

Much to my surprise, a few weeks later, I received this letter:



Later, when I got the idea of riding in the engine, I wrote back to him and he was very glad to be of assistance.
