In 1957, I had the privilege of attending the National Jamboree held at Valley Forge. If memory serves me, I was in provisional Troop 22 in Section 9. I enjoyed meeting Scouts from all over the country, but made a special effort to meet Scouts from foreign countries. |

Jim Costa is in the upper left (dark green Explorer shirt). I'm standing in front of him. We were the only ones from Troop One. The others in this photo came from other troops in Kearny. Troop 22 consisted of this group from Kearny and others from the other districts in the Hudson Council, namely Jersey City. The man in the suit was Mayor Joseph M. Healey, the mayor of Kearny who was there to see us off. I don't remember the names of the others. If you can identify any, e-mail me.
