I'm pretty sure that Gordon Kimball was a Scout in Troop One a few years before my boyhood. He's one of that generation who stuck around the troop for years and years, pitching in as one of the main Assistant Scoutmasters. At times, there were many on the rolls as ASMs, but he was one of the more active ones. A few years ago, I inquired about Scouting in Kearny and he was one of the few who was really still active, although, after the demise of Troop One, he had moved on to a different troop. I can't remember which one.
