Big Bluestem Stage
We took in several sets on the Big Bluestem Stage, including a very memorable set called Bamako Bluegrass which featured Béla Fleck and several members of Toumani Diabate's Symmetic Orchestra from west Africa. Diabate is a kora player from Mali and is considered the best in the world on that instrument. He is the 71st generation in his family to play the kora. Fleck & Diabate had never met before coming on stage but had a successful jam session nonetheless.
