7th Annual Pickin' on the Plains

Location

Pickin' on the Plains is held outdoors at Bourquin's Campground in Colby, Kansas. Colby is a small city in northwest Kansas with a population of approximately 5,600, situated just 53 miles east of the Colorado border and about the same distance south of the Nebraska border. Bourquin's Campground is located on the Interstate 70 Frontage Road between Exits 53 and 54.

There is full service and dry camping on the grounds and remote camping is also available. Motels, shopping and restaurants are located within one mile of the festival grounds. The Prairie Museum of Art and History is a major attraction just adjacent to the grounds, and boasts the famous Kuska doll and glassware collection, and the largest barn in Kansas. In addition to unique stores in downtown Colby, the Southwind Plaza (formerly Whites Factory Outlet) has recently reopened, featuring unique Kansas gifts.
