Although it was a long day of driving, I took an hour's break to experience the PRT (Personal Rapid Transit) at WVU (West Virginia University) in Morgantown. It was built in the 1970's as a demonstration project with funding from the US Dept of Transportation and was designed to solve the University's transportation problems. The university is spread over multiple campuses in this mountainous town. The PRT unifies the campuses.
