Forms

In many cases, you want feedback from your site. You want someone to contact you. It's simply to put an e-mail link that would make it easy for the visitor to send you an e-mail.

Sometimes the person finds you from a public computer where he doesn't have access to his e-mail client. Sometimes you'd like to help the visitor tell you what you need to know at the very start. You can do this by putting a form on your site allowing the visitor to answer your questions when first contacting you. Here are a few examples:

A form can also let the visitor get an estimate without taking any of your time. Check out hoodoo22.com/prod.html. This combines the form with dynamic content. As prices change for his supplies, this client can change the values upon which the estimate would be based. Meanwhile, the visitor can choose the options he wants and see what the estimated price would be. The formula for the calculation is built into the page. The client and the visitor each have control over their set of variables and the page displays an accurate estimate based on today's costs.
