Great Bend has a number of motels and a couple of bed-and-breakfasts. The two largest are the Holiday Inn and the Best Western Angus Inn, which are within easy walking distance of each other, about a mile west of downtown on Tenth Street (US-56). The Great Bend Convention & Visitors' Bureau has a complete listing of all the lodging facilities in Great Bend.

We hope everyone attending the Festival will come to the Elks Club for lunch on Saturday. There are few restaurants within walking distance of our downtown venue, so we considered hosting a picnic in Lafayette Park (the Courthouse Square) which is right across the street. Then some of us remembered how absolutely unpredictable the Kansas weather can be, especially at that time of the year. Instead, we've arranged for a fine meal at the Elks Club, just a bit over a block from the Crest Theatre.

All of the other meals will be “on your own”, but Great Bend has plenty of good restaurants (just not downtown).
