Don Shorock's work history

In the fall of 2006, I retired from regular employment, although I still do some free-lance web design.

From 1980 to 2006, I worked at the Great Bend Employment and Training Office (a.k.a. the Job Service and most recently as the One-Stop Career Center) as the job training specialist. The office was run by the Kansas Dept. of Human Resources and then the Kansas Dept. of Commerce. I administered the JTPA training programs in Barton, Rush, Ness, Pawnee, and Rice Counties. (At various times, I had also been the representative for Russell, Stafford, Pratt, Barber, Comanche, Kiowa, Hodgeman, and Ford Counties.) The JTPA programs were funded by the Employment and Training Administration of the U.S.Department of Labor .
